My ongoing on the job training in autobody work and paint application. I'm getting better at this. I used about 15 rattle cans the first time I did the whole truck. Now I have an HVLP rig but it needs to be a finer spray, it has a texture in the finish. Probably have 10 coates by the time I get good enough to get some actual automotive paint.I hear it's costly. I looked up some from valspar and it was $227 a gallon. I got a new spray gun I am gonna try out with the alkyd black, unless I find something better I can afford. Well the second atempt at spraying came out just as textured as before even with the new gun so I said hell with it and second coated it with a smooth foam roller, hey it is a work truck. So I hope for better luck and more importantly learning some more skill at this come better weather and the next go round.
